Visit and entry
Is there a fee to enter the property?
No. Admission for individual visitors is free.
When can I see the deer?
Deer viewing and visits to the property are possible every day between 8:00 and 20:00, including Sundays and holidays.
Do I need to register in advance for my visit?
No reservation is required for individual visits. Advance notice is required only for bus groups.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, dogs are allowed to walk around the property accompanied by their owners, but they must be on a leash at all times. Please keep your dog under control at all times and make sure it does not chase our animals.
Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, café and shop.
Animal feeding
Can I feed the deer?
Yes. Feeding is individual, one package of pet food costs €1.00.
What can we feed deer?
Feed deer and hinds exclusively with food purchased from a At Mom's Store (open daily 8:00 – 19:00) or in Jelenov greben cafes (open daily 8:00 – 20:00).
Is it safe to approach deer?
The animals are domesticated, but we ask for your consideration. During the breeding season (May – June), observe hinds with their young from a distance, and during the rutting season (autumn), do not approach the red deer with pointed antlers and larger red deer. Are the animals on the property at all times, regardless of the weather?
Yes. Deer and mouflon are on the property all day, every day of the year – regardless of the weather conditions.
Groups
How do I announce a group?
Bus groups must announce their arrival in advance at info@jelenov-greben.si or by phone +386 (0)3 5829 046Larger groups are not allowed to arrive without a guided tour.
How much does a guided tour cost?
A guided tour of the homestead and deer costs €2.00 per person.
Can a group take a bus to the property?
Bus access to the property is only possible with prior notice and if parking spaces for buses are available.
On weekends Access by bus is not possible. Please park your bus in the parking lot at the Olimje Monastery.
Restaurant
When is the restaurant open?
The restaurant is open from Tuesday to Sunday between 11:00 and 21:00. It is closed on Mondays.
Do I need to book a table in advance?
On weekends and holidays, we recommend making a reservation in advance. At that time, we accept reservations for lunch at 12:00, 12:30 and 1:00 p.m.and for dinner at 6:00 PM, 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM.

Are dogs allowed in the restaurant?
Unfortunately no. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant.
Accommodations
How can I book accommodation?

What are the booking and cancellation conditions?
Reservation: The accommodation reservation is confirmed with an advance payment of 30 % of the total amountThe remaining amount is paid upon check-in or check-out.
Cancellation:
- at the latest 4 days before arrival: we will refund your advance or take it into account for a new appointment,
- less than 4 days before arrival: we do not refund the advance payment.
What time is check-in and check-out from the room?
Check-in is possible between 1:00 PM and 7:00 PMand check-out is between 8:00 and 11:00.
Is the wellness included in the room price?
For guests of Penzion Rebeka and Karolina, wellness is included in the basic room price.
Guests of Penzion Pod grebenom and Sob Jelen wellness pay extra:
- adults: €20.00 per person per day
- children from 7 to 15 years old: €10.00 per day
- children up to 7 years old: free of charge
Children can use the wellness during 9:00 and 16:00.
When is breakfast and is it included in the price of the night?
Breakfast is served every day between 8:00 and 10:00.
Breakfast is included in the room price for guests of Penzion Rebeka in Karolina, Penzion Pod grebenom and Sob Jelen.
Guests staying in apartments at Penzion Karolina pay extra for breakfast:
- adults: €12.00 per day
- children from 7 to 12 years old: €8.00 per day
- children up to 7 years old: free of charge
Are pets allowed in the accommodations?
Pets are allowed in Penzion Rebeka in Karolina and in Penzion Pod grebenom. The surcharge is €10.00 per pet per day.
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the Jelen Rooms.

Where are you located and how can I reach you?
Jelenov greben is located at Olimje 90, 3254 Podčetrtek. Directions can be found on the page Visit us.
Can I stay overnight with my camper?
Yes, you can stay overnight with us with your camper. We do not charge for overnight stays, but in exchange for a parking space, we ask that you enjoy at least one meal with us - breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Breakfast price for external guests:
- adults: €18.00 per person
- children from 7 to 12 years old: 9,00 €
On weekends There is limited space for campers, so please arrive early. 18:00 and leave the room until 10:00 the next morning.
Can I buy a gift certificate?
Yes. Gift vouchers for accommodation packages, wellness, restaurant and shop can be ordered via the form on the page. Packages and gift vouchers.

Can I also order your products online?
Yes. You can order homemade products from our Mom's Shop at online store.
